Mark is passionate about helping families to pass along their wealth, wisdom and values. He spends his time counseling individuals and families as they go through the inevitable transitions of life.
After graduating from the University of Montevallo in 1990 with a degree in Finance, Mark earned both his law degree and graduate degree in tax law from the University of Alabama School of Law. He worked as a litigator before transitioning to estate planning and trust administration in 2000. He worked as a trust officer and became manager of a regional bank trust department, and that experience gives him unique insight into both the drafting of plans and how those plans work (or don’t) in the real world.
Mark is a member of the Alabama State Bar and Florida State Bar as well as being admitted to the United States Tax Court and all Federal District Courts in Alabama. He is a member of the Mobile Estate Planning Council, Northwest Florida Estate Planning Council, and the Emerald Coast Estate Planning Council. Mark is a past president of the Trust Section of the Alabama Bankers Association, a member of the Real Estate, Trust and Probate Section of the Alabama Bar Association, and is registered on the Alabama State Court Mediator Roster.
